Make a GST invoice without handing over your customer list

Most invoice tools want an account first and then keep your buyers on their server. This one is a sheet of A4 in a browser tab. You click a field on the document and type into it, the totals fill themselves in as you go, and the finished PDF is drawn on your own machine by the same tab that showed you the preview.

Place of supply is the field that does the work. Pick it once and the tax splits itself: the same state as your registration gives a CGST line and an SGST line at half the rate each, anywhere else gives a single IGST line at the full rate. Taxable value, the rate-wise summary, the round-off and the amount in words are all derived and cannot be typed over.

What it does not do is decide anything for you. It lays out the fields and does the arithmetic on the numbers you enter. Which rate a line attracts, which code belongs against it and whether a particular supply is intra-state are questions for your accountant, not for a form.

How it works

  1. Fill in your business once. Name, address, GSTIN, PAN, state, bank details, terms, signature line and a logo. They are kept in this browser and every new document opens with them already in place.
  2. Type into the document. Click any field on the sheet. Tab steps through in reading order and Enter on the last line adds another row. Description, HSN or SAC, quantity, unit, rate, discount and the GST rate are yours; anything worked out is locked.
  3. Pick the place of supply. The dropdown decides whether the sheet shows CGST and SGST or one IGST line. It follows the buyer's state until you change it, and reverse charge is a checkbox beside it.
  4. Download, print or save. Download PDF redraws the sheet with pdf-lib and saves it. Print sends the sheet itself to your printer. Save to this browser keeps a copy you can reopen, duplicate into the next invoice, or delete.

What it handles

  • Invoice or quotation from the same form - a quotation drops the tax-invoice wording and swaps the due date for a validity date
  • Per-line discount in rupees or in percent, taken off before the tax is worked out
  • The rate-wise summary table under the items, with taxable value and tax grouped by rate
  • Amount in words in the Indian system, so it reads lakh and crore rather than million
  • Round-off to the nearest rupee shown as its own line, or switched off
  • A warning when your GSTIN's state code disagrees with the state you picked, or its check digit does not add up
  • Invoice numbers that continue your own series: INV-2025-0007 becomes INV-2025-0008, prefix and digit width intact
  • A separate shipping address block when it differs from the billing address
  • Long invoices carried onto further pages with the table header repeated, each page framed and numbered
  • Saved documents keep their own copy of your details, so correcting your address later does not rewrite an invoice already issued

Your files stay on your computer

This runs inside your browser tab. The file is read and written on your own device and is never uploaded — not the order PDF, not the customer names and addresses printed on it. There is no upload endpoint to send it to.

Questions

Will it tell me the right GST rate or HSN code for what I sell?
No, and it does not try to. You pick the rate and type the code; the sheet handles the arithmetic and the layout. Which rate and which heading apply to your goods is a matter for the CBIC schedule and your accountant, and no form can check that for you.
Where are my invoices kept?
In this browser, under this profile, on this device. Nothing is sent to us and there is no account holding your customer list - which also means clearing site data or moving to another laptop loses them. Download the PDFs of anything you need to keep.
Can I put Hindi or Tamil text on the invoice?
Not in the downloaded PDF. It is drawn with the standard PDF fonts, which carry Latin characters only - accents are folded and Devanagari or Tamil drops out altogether. Use Print instead of Download PDF for those, since printing the on-screen sheet keeps the script.
Is this an e-invoice with an IRN and a signed QR code?
No. It produces an ordinary tax invoice as a PDF. Registering an invoice on the IRP to get an IRN and a signed QR code is a separate process on the government portal, and nothing on this page talks to it.
What stops me issuing an invoice with something obviously wrong on it?
A check before download: a missing invoice number, no place of supply, an empty line item, a discount larger than the line, a GST rate that is not in the schedule. Some of it is a hard stop and some is only a warning, such as a line with no HSN code on it.
